A Gabriel reagent commonly used in synthesis of primary amines.1 Has been applied in amination of oxazolidinyl-methyl mesylate,2 highly regio- and enantioselective palladium-catalyzed allylic amination,3 synthesis of 4-methylimidazol-2-one,4 catalyzing formylation of hydroxyarenes to aryl formats,5 production of δ-aminolevulinic acid (DALA) from levulinic acid by bromination and subsequent amination with sodium diformylamide 6 and synthesis of ascididemine.7
