Used for determination of isotopic enrichment of glycerol in very-low density lipoproteins,1 simultaneous determination of the steroid hormones 17α-ethinylestradiol (EE2) and estrone (E1) using GC-MS,2 measuring naphthenic acids by GC-MS 3 and differential metabolomics that involves stable isotope labeling for relative quantification as part of sample analysis by two-dimensional GC×GC/MS.4
