Used as raw materials for synthesis of organic silicon, intermediates and capping agent of ethyl silicone oil, ethyl silicone rubber.1 Applied in a palladium-catalyzed carbosilylation of allenes with Grignard reagents. The Grignard attacks the allene central carbon and the terminal carbon is silylated.2
