Also known as FLUOLEADTM. A novel new fluorinating reagent for use in the synthesis of a wide variety of specialty chemicals and intermediates, such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and electronic chemicals. A versatile, safe, shelf-stable, and easy-to-handle fluorinating agent. Applied for fluorinations of alcohols, aldehydes, and enolizable ketones.1,2,3 Converted non-enolizable carbonyls to CF2 groups, carboxylic groups to CF3 groups, C(═S) and CH3SC(═S)O groups to CF2 and CF3O groups in high yields.3 Also used in preparation of fluoroalkyl arylsulfinates and arylsulfinamides by highly stereoselective deoxofluoro-arylsulfinylation of diols and amino alcohols.3
