Versatile ligand for the formation of metal complexes.1,2 the (R,R) isomer is generally more active than the (S,S) isomer.3 Used for Reactions with Ph(chloromethyl) (isothiocyanato) thiophosphonate and Ph(chloromethyl)(isocyanato)phosphonate,4 synthesis of a new chiral diaminophosphino(silyl)carbene,5 formation of metal complexes of biologically important ligands,6 and synthesis of chiral bifunctional thiourea organocatalysts for stereoselective nucleophilic addition to imines.7
