Silver(I) fluoride has been used for the addition of fluoride across multiple bonds1 and as a source of fluorine in experimental petrology.2 AfF is also used in desulfuration-fluorination reactions with thiuram disulfides and thioureas 3 and conversion of phosphorothio(seleno)organic compounds into the corresponding fluoridate.4
